Mark Hughes Sacked

MARK Hughes has been sacked as manager of Queens Park Rangers

Hughes joined QPR on January 10, 2012 in a tumultuous period for the club, having sat perilously in the Premier League under the guidance of former boss Neil Warnock.

Hughes' arrival caused an influx of transfers that ultimately paved the way for some inconsistent and suprising results as QPR stayed up by the skin of their teeth last time out.

This season has started disastrously for the Welshman and QPR, without a win thus far this campaign, and without an away win throughout his tenure.

His departure comes as a surprise, if only by the timing of the move given Rangers' trip to Old Trafford tomorrow. Presumably QPR have lined up a replacement, potentially Harry Redknapp.

Hughes tenure will be remembered as a set of players that had the potential to do better, but frankly through his best efforts it did not work, culminating in a home defeat against relegation rivals Southampton.

Hughes had a win percentage of 24% with QPR in what was probably his worst job to date. Rangers' fans now await news of who will be the man to lead them from the mire.

I's only 24% if yu count the FA Cup win ovr MK Dons and the Carling Cup triumph over Walsall. In the PL, it was 20% win,20% draw, 60%defeat.

This is true 4me. Stats don't lie. Fear - not really sad to see him go in light of some staggeringly bad displays. Going to give Lambert time fear?
