Spurs Trio On QPR Radar

HARRY Redknapp is looking to raid the fringe players of his former club Tottenham Hotspur.

QPR have been linked with Jermaine Jenas for several consecutive windows and Redknapp could offer the midfielder a short term deal following his loan spell at boyhood club Nottingham Forest.

The second forgotten man on Harry's radar is David Bentley. A midfielder once destined for great things has fallen by the wayside at White Hart Lane, and several loan spells have failed to resurrect a waning career.

Both former England internationals, both not in the plans of Andre Villas Boas at Tottenham, and both seem to court the interest of Harry Redknapp. One can't help but think these will be the irons in the fire should other bids fail to come to fruition.

The third link seems to be with young wide-man Andros Townsend, a rather unproven entity in the Premier League. Loan spells with eight different clubs have failed to yield consistent results with Harry looking to kick-start his fledgling career.

These will I'm sure be the first of many links on deadline day, as Harry's reputation for getting all the deals necessary surely coming to the fore today.

A distant wish is to get rid of bently and jenarse but Townsend is quality and qpr would benefit from his talents.
