QPR boss chases Villa ace!

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has confirmed that QPR have joined Crystal Palace in the chase for midfielder Lee Hendrie.

O'Neill wants to keep the 29-year-old at Villa Park long-term but is happy for the long-serving player to recapture his form out on loan.

O'Neill said: 'There are a number of teams who are looking to take Lee on loan. John Gregory has enquired about him and Crystal Palace have maintained an interest

'He played for the reserves on Monday night, and we will see how fit he is because it is all about games with him.

'If he wants to give himself a chance of getting into the first team then he'll want to get himself as fit as possible.

'I wasn't the one who instigated the possibility of him going out on loan. It seemed as if his agent wanted that. But even so, I am not in disagreement with him because he can go - wherever that may be - and get games.'

If Gregory can get Lil Lee playing to his potential you have one hell of a player there. Hendrie can be a devastating Premiership quality player IF and WHEN he performs.
AC
he'll do well in the Championship, I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a permanent move either.
