QPR Reserves sunk by Saints

An impressive display from keeper Simon Royce, could not prevent Rangers second string falling to a 3-0 home defeat to Southampton at Loftus Road this afternoon.

Simon Royce was outstanding in the Rangers goal in his long awaited comeback from injury 8 months ago. But he was powerless to prevent the Saints marching to a comfortable 3-0 victory.

A mixed Rangers side of younth and experience had no answers to a polished Saints performance. But the return of Simon Royce will be music to Rangers fans ears, and will no doubt give a big selection headache to Rangers boss, John Gregory.

QPR Reserves: Royce, Yelland (Watanabe 81), Hislop, Munday, Milanese, Oliseh (Goode 81), Tchakounte, Lomas (O'Connell 56), Donnelly, Sappleton, Baidoo. Subs: Cole.
