Rowlands signs new QPR deal

The 27-year-old, whose previous deal would have expired at the end of the campaign, had been in talks with Rangers since the summer about prolonging his stay.

And Rowlands, who has been at QPR since 2003, cited the arrival of new boss John Gregory as a key factor in his decision to stay.

'I feel at home here and, with John Gregory coming in, it's great to be part of a new era,' he said.

'The new manager was keen for me to put pen to paper as soon as possible, so now it is up to me to repay the faith he has shown in me.

'I've signed for a further two years, and I couldn't be happier.'
