Instant Reactions - Forest v QPR (4/11/17)

Following yesterday's clash between Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers, here are the instant reactions from both managers.

Nottingham Forest hosted Queens Park Rangers at The City Ground for a 3pm kick off on Saturday November 4, with the hosts taking a four nil victory following a Tyler Walker brace and further efforts from Kieron Dowell and Barrie McKay.

Teams:

Nottingham Forest:

Smith, Lichaj, Worrall, Mancienne, Traore, Bridcutt, Osborn, Walker, Dowell (Bouchalakis 77), McKay (Ward 86), Murphy (Carayol 85).

Substitutes:

Mills, Clough, Henderson, Cummings.

QPR:

Smithies, Baptiste, Lynch, Robinson, Bidwell, Wheeler (Mackie 45), Luongo, Scowen, Freeman (N'Gbakoto 74), Sylla (Smith 45), Washington.

Substitutes:

Furlong, Cousins, Manning, Lumley.

Speaking to the BBC's cameras a short time after match day referee Tim Robinson blew the final whistle, Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton explained.

'As a squad we have to keep learning. There were lots of very positive things to take from this, but we missed a lot of chances as well. QPR came here on the back of two very good results - so that is a very pleasing performance. I am pleased for the players and the fans of course, but we have to learn from this, just as we do every game. I am delighted for the players that they have got their reward for a good performance heading into the international break.'

Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway in his comparitive interview explained.

'It's weird because I have a won here a lot so I was hoping it would rub off. To win any game at this level you need to have at least eight of your players at the top of their game and some of them, with the decisions they were making, looked tired and lacklustre. To be beat 4-0 is a very bitter pill to take but I have to congratulate Notts Forest as they looked better and sharper than us. It was a long, horrible day.'
