Freeman Proud To Have Reached Appearance Milestone
Midfielder Luke Freeman has spoken of his delight at making the 50 appearance mark for Queens Park Rangers in our victory over Bolton Wanderers at the weekend.
Taking to the pitch in the middle of the park for us in our two nil victory, it did make it 50 appearances in total since his arrival from Bristol City back in January 2017 and he'll soon be celebrating 50 started appearances as he's only five away from that particular tally.
Speaking to the Official Site about the half century, he explained.
'It`s a nice milestone to hit. It`s very satisfying. I wasn`t aware it was my 50th appearance, but the media lads told me this morning, and it`s something I`m very proud of. Hopefully there are many more ahead for me at QPR.'
Reflecting back on the three points at Loftus Road in our last game, Freeman had praise for the side given the 'professional display' we put in across the 90 minutes.
'It was a good performance on Saturday. Even when it was 11v11 I thought we were on top and looking like the side who were going to go on and win the game. It`s sometimes harder when it`s 11v10 for one reason or another, but we stuck to the game plan and produced a very professional performance. Everyone was in sync from the first minute to the last, sticking to the game-plan - it was a satisfying afternoon for us.'
With Sheffield United up next at Bramall Lane this evening, Freeman said the group were in confident mood going into the tie against Chris Wilder's side who have been impressive following their promotion as League One Champions last season.
'This is another big game for us. They`ve had a great season so far. But we`ll be heading there full of confidence. We beat them earlier in the season in a tight game. We`re going there with a positive mindset.'
'We were good on Saturday and we played well against Wolves, particularly in the second half. We feel we`re improving as the games go by. There`s a good feeling about the place given how we`ve performed since the turn of the year.'
