Team News: Vs Leicester City

Rangers go into tomorrow night’s fixture against Leicester City with two key players facing late fitness tests.

Matthew Rose and Martin Rowlands are both struggling to be fit following recent injuries.

Marc Bircham will not feature despite returning to training. Tuesday’s match will come to soon for the eccentric midfielder who will need extra attention to ensure he stays fit.

Kevin Gallen is improving but is still a little way off resuming full training. The club captain can only run at 80%.

Dominic Shimmin’s scan showed he is progressing well and he aims to be back in full training in the next couple of weeks.

However, amongst all the doom and gloom Ian Holloway does have a healthy selection problem up front.

He has five strikers to choose from for the two vacant positions following the signing of Sammy Youssouf.

Yourself has not yet received international clearance to play but should it arrive in time expect him to go straight into the Rangers squad.

Marc Nygaard is fit and ready to go after another full week in training. Paul Furlong will also be hoping for a start as well as Stefan Moore and Shabazz Baidoo.

With less than 48 hours before the transfer window closes Ollie is still hoping to complete a deal for an unnamed player.

Neither manager nor club would comment on the player but Vital QPR understand that Rangers are in negotiations with a striker, possibly Linfield’s Peter Thompson.

Should any deal be completed in time, the player will not face the Foxes tomorrow night as it will come too soon.
