Agyemang Close To Signing

Preston North End striker Patrick Agyemang is on the verge of signing for Queens Park Rangers.

New Year's Day saw the Lilywhites official website as saying the 27-year-old 6'1' striker was on the verge of leaving Preston North End, a club where he has applied his trade since 2004 and join the new revolution at Loftus Road.

Manager Alan Irvine explained...

'It looks like Patrick will be leaving us. He's been aware of a very good offer from Queen's Park Rangers and it's an offer that's out of our league.'

But when will he sign?

'When the deal will happen I'm not quite sure,' added Irvine. 'But it's really a case of when it will happen rather than if it will happen. We can't match what QPR are prepared to offer Patrick and it's an opportunity for him to move back down to London which he's keen to do as well.'

PNE gaffer finished off by saying...

'There are other clubs interested in Patrick, but the one from QPR is the one firm offer that we've received.'

How much do you think we will buy him for, £1m??
hoops
On his day a right handful, but the names aren't quite as good as I'd hoped. He doesn't have experience of getting promoted from this league, which is a characteristic we need! 1M is a bit inflated, but we're going to be held to ransom by everyone now!

You've got the money I thought you would have gone out and brought a striker who will guarantee you twenty goals a season.
