'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vital QPR Challenges Chelsea Blog

Football fans around the world are renowned for their tribalism. Many wear their colours with pride, many devote their entire lives and finances to their favourite club while many would rather let their mates sleep with their partners rather than see their team relegated.

In the age of multi-media, there's not a story that often slips through the net. On this occasion, this little Chelsea gem caught my eye, so much so I just couldn't sit back and say nothing.

Now, I would like to categorise myself as a football fan, in fact I would wear my Queens Park Rangers shirt with pride, however, there has to be a limit as to how far I would be prepared to go.

Hand on heart - I don't devote my entire life or finances to the club and there's not a man on this planet who would want to sleep with my wife, therefore I am left with no option but to stick to good old banter.

We all know about Bernie Ecclestone, Flavio Briatore, their huge club investment and three-year plan for the club to reach the Premier League, but what about our 20% stake holder Lakshmi Mittal. Just in case you didn't know, he's the fifth richest man in the world. Yes fifth richest.

To put this into some sort of perspective that blows Mr Chelsea owner out of the water.

I will end this little ditto with the following video. Oh and guess who you will see at number five?

I wish the Chelsea blogger all the best.

Happy Days

3 of the stakeholders in your club are rich, in fact very rich indeed. But your club is piddling and you are 18th in the Championship. Let's not fantasise about Kaka talking up his 'dream move to his childhood club, QPR' quite yet, eh? Still, good work for providing us with some moments of mirth, and all the best for finishing in the top half of the division lower than ours!

....he said with a touch of sarcasm. The Loftus Road glory days will be back in full swing before you know it, EuroBlue.
