Rangers Refute Release Claims

Reports this afternoon have suggested Gigi De Canio is expected to wield the axe on a number of Rangers players. A claim that the Italian himself refutes.

The BBC this afternoon reported that QPR have told a number of players that they are surplus to requirement at Loftus Road.

With Daniel Nardiello reportedly being transfer listed just six months after a deal to take him to W12. Misfit signings Stefan Moore and Zesh Rehman have been told to find another club, as have Pat Kanyuka, Shabazz Baidoo, Kieron St. Aimee and Stefan Bailey all products of a youth system that has failed to produce in recent years.

However De Canio has come forward and stated:

'Nothing official has been decided. I'm sure there will be changes in due course but there is nothing happening at the moment,'

De Canio's comments come at a time of great transition for the club, and it seemed a matter of time before there were casualties to the new regime.

In other news, Argentinean youngster Sebastian Rusculleda is due to sign for the R's subject to completing a medical.

No comment has been made on the official website.
