Flav Slams Speculation

Flavio Briatore has hit out at suggestions in the recent media that Gianluca Vialli is in line to replace Gigi De Canio as manager.

The F1 Magnate is responding to a recent article in a Sunday tabloid that stated there was a distinct language barrier and the current manager was struggling to get his message to the players.

Flavio told the offical website:

"It's not even an issue."

"Gigi has a contract with QPR and we intend to honour it - simple as that"

He continued:

"Gianluca is a friend of mine and he is welcome to come and watch matches whenever he wants, but Gigi is our manager - end of story"

"We are happy with the job Gigi and his staff are doing and he is very much part of our project"

Gigi has taken charge of 16 games with the R's thus far, guiding his team to five wins four draws and seven defeats.
