Farewell Marc Nygaard

Queens Park Rangers have announced officially the departure of Danish Striker Marc Nygaard by mutual consent.

Nygaard came to Rangers until the reign of Ian Holloway in a free transfer deal from Brescia and made a total of 72 appearances accumulating 14 goals.

He has played under a total of 4 managers, and will be remembered for a stunning strike away at Leicester, cracking a shot from distance on the bounce to send the Rangers fans into raptures.

Nygaard as has been reported on this website is to return to the Danish Superliga with Randers FC.

On a personal note, the bloke has been brilliant for the club, whilst not being gifted with the ability some other players have had, he tried his heart out for the cause every week, and always stay behind to clap the fans, whatever some had to say to him. A real pleasure and a nice man to boot, hope he gets a good club. Cheers Marc!
