Shimmin Leaves SW12

Following in Marc Nygaard's footsteps, Monday 28 January saw a second Rangers player leave SW12 with Dominic Shimmin having his contract terminated by mutual consent.

The 20-year-old joined the R's from Arsenal's Youth Team back in 2005 but failed to hold down a regular first team place.

In an effort to resurrect his career the 6'1' defender joined Kevin Bond's AFC Bournemouth on loan towards the tail end of 2007, but after falling out with the Cherries boss found himself training with Gillingham.

Vital Queens Park Rangers wish Dominic all the very best for the future.

A month of transition its fair to say, the squad now looks completely different to the one we started the season with. Think we need a few more additions. A quality goalkeeper to give Camp something to think about perhaps, and a striker, even a couple of strikers!
