Sami Departs

Finnish Defender Sampsa Timoska is due to have his contract terminated by Queens Park Rangers.

Only a year after joining the R`s from Finnish outfit MyPa 47 on a free transfer, Sami has found himself surplus to requirements at Loftus Road following the Rangers Revolution.

Timoska has appeared 21 times for the R`s, featuring in 7 games this season lately in the away draw against Scunthorpe.

The club and the player are currently in negotiations to terminate the defender`s contract, which has 5 months remaining and an announcement is widely expected in the next few days.

Vital Football QPR would like to extend its thanks to Sami and wish him all the best.

Another one to fly the nest! Wow, hasn't Gigi and his side-kicks booted-out some of the dead-wood - and about time to. I really have a good feeling about De Canio.

Always looked weak as a defender, made his debut off the bench up at Hull, and we were blown away, albeit a few pathetic refereeing decisions along the way. Thats number 11 now!!
