So much for all the nonsense about bankruptcy, demotion to the National League, blah. blah, blah ad nauseum from the Doom Brigades.

The doom brigade will be studiously looking for something else to criticise us on now.

It's quite sad that we're the kind of club that's there to be shot at now. Rest assured Brighton will have their say...

Who'd have thought just a few years back, that we'd be celebrating 'only' getting an £8m fine??

Football has gone f***ing mad...

And I'd have to agree with the likes of Brighton - we did overspend by the rules of the game, while they played within the rules.

If Leeds were in our position, I'm pretty sure we'd all be jumping up and down calling for the Football League to come down on them hard with a massive fine, transfer embargo and a points deduction...

You're correct Ashdown - as I say it's sad that we've got ourselves in that situation, no-one elses fault really.

I can only hope that they're not using money the club has earned - i.e. Sterling sale - to bail out the current mistakes.

Mr Fernandes is a great bloke, and seeing him and speaking to him in person is a genuine pleasure and you can see and sense how much he wants to make this work - but this doesn't do the club's image any good.

You are right Ashdown_Ranger. However, I despise the FFP rule as it stands. No-one wants clubs running up debts that they can't afford, that part of it is fair enough. But owners should be allowed to inject whatever cash they feel like into a club as long as it's regulated and not used to bring the club down. If owners don't have that freedom, then clubs like QPR can look forward to a future of lurking around the lower reaches of the Championship and the Chlesea's, Arsenal's and MUUFC's of this world will be protected from challenges by up and coming clubs with monied and ambitious owners.
