I thought he was amazing yesterday and my blood is still boiling over the comments made by the ignorant, ill informed cove at West Ham. I'm sure they want him, but the big mouthed idiot doesn't know how to go about business.

I want Charlie to stay but wouldn't begrudge him the stage of the Premiership, where he should be, and personally think Tottenham would be good for him. If they want him that is, but not West Ham.

I'd like him to stay too, but if we're offered the asking price, I would let him go.

I'd do everything to keep him. The gamble on missing out on £15m against promotion is one that I would take, especially if we can sort out what passes for our defence!

What a difficult one this is! Unfortunately, players are no longer devoted to their clubs, but devoted to their pockets. Because this is the fact nowadays, it would be wrong to keep him if the requested offer comes in. If we turned it down, I can imagine that Charlie would be very unhappy and it may show in his performances. I'm not running Charlie down, but just stating how it is in this day and age. Years ago - many years ago - a certain Fulham player named Johnny Haynes, stayed with them through thick and thin. Each time they were relegated from the first division, he would, virtually on his own, promote them. Nowadays, a relegation leads to the best players struggling to leave a sinking ship.

Let's be honest. Charlie is a snip at 15K and why nobody has come in, I can't understand. But I'm sure an offer will come in and we must let him go. I, too, pray that we can keep him, but I don't think we will. Too many Premier teams are looking for strikers already and one of them must be willing to cough up 15K for a striker, who can score 18 goals in the Premier in a poor side! As for talk about fitness, let's not go into that rubbish!

If £15m is the asking price and someione comes along with that then I think we should do the decent thing anyway, even without taking Charlie's feelings into consideration. My concern is that the transfer window is ticking away and although that gives growing hope that he will stay when a bid does not materialise, it also raises the danger of a late bid, pehaps on deadline day, that gives us no scope to sign a replacement. At this stage, I'm not convinced we have the remaining players left to mount a serious promotion push.

I also fear the same with Matty. We have fair cover now in goal should Rob leave, and it looks like Leroy won't be going anywhere.

Serious promotion push? Guess hope and optimism are creeping in again after just 2 wins taking us up into the play off spots.

I take your last point ImSitiv but flogging off our best players is a guaranteed method of making sure that QPR don't bother to make a challenge and fans don't bother to care!

At present, no-one has offered the asking price for Charlie. Until someone does, the club has to stay strong and stick to its asking price!

Any other action would be a declaration of weakness!

Totally agree QPR4Me. However, because of the deadline approaching, I wonder if our bosses could insist on an offer being made with time for us to get a replacement. Having said that, I'm sure Ramsey will have someone in mind, knowing the chance of our keeping Charlie is pretty slim.

One week to go.

West Brom, Southampton, Newcastle, Watford, Arsenal. Liverpool and Man U and Villa have only scored 2 goals so far. Charlie has scored 4 on his own.

Spurs and Stoke have only scored 3 goals.

You would think 2 or 3 of those sides must be looking to strengthen their strike force.

I don't think we'll persuade Charlie to sign a new contract if he doesn't move this summer.

So then it's a bargain basement sale in January, or moving on for nowt next summer - unless we're promoted.

Personally I think Southampton, Villa or Newcastle will make a move, with an outside chance of Spurs or Palace getting involved.
