Nottingham Forest v QPR - Match Preview

The R`s travel to the East Midlands this Boxing Day, where they will face Billy Davies` promotion-chasing Nottingham Forest. History suggests QPR won`t get much from the game, as they`ve never won at Forest in 29 visits in all competitions but you never know, apparently miracles do happen at this time of year.

In terms of form heading into this game, Forest have failed to win any of their last five games at the City Ground, drawing three and losing the other two. The Reds have struggled for consistency at home this season and QPR might take confidence from their recent form.

The last time the two sides met in the Championship, both fixtures that season (10/11) ended level, and let`s be realistic, a point at the City Ground wouldn`t be a disaster for QPR. Forest themselves are draw specialists of late, with four of their last six matches ending in a stalemate, including consecutive goalless draws in their most recent two fixtures.

QPR will want to bounce back from the Leicester result and with the January transfer window fast approaching, you have to wonder if Harry Redknapp is thinking of improving the attack after several low-scoring performances. The R`s have struggled in that department all season and if they are to push for promotion, the club must improve upon the injury-prone pair of Bobby Zamora and Andrew Johnson.
