Watford vs. QPR

Watford v QPR - Match Preview

QPR make the short trip to Vicarage Road tomorrow afternoon, as the festive fixtures continue to mount. Harry Redknapp`s men travel to Watford having suffered consecutive defeats (Leicester & Forest) for the first time this season and it will be intriguing to see what type of game-plan they adopt.

The injury to Charlie Austin only highlights the need for more firepower in the squad. Andrew Johnson is still useful at this level but can`t stay fit, while Bobby Zamora looks like he needs more time to recover from whatever injuries he is carrying. The return of Joey Barton should inject a bit of life into QPR tomorrow, but without a goal threat, I think a draw will be a good result.

History would suggest Watford will be the favourites, with the Hornets picking up six wins from the last eight meetings with QPR at Vicarage Road. In terms of recent form, Watford's win over Millwall on Boxing Day ended a run of ten matches without a league victory, so you`d expect Watford to come out of the traps quickly.

Watford Team News:

Daniel Pudil (hamstring) and Hector Bellerin (hip) should be fit to play after injury.

Possible line up:

ALMUNIA

ANGELLA - EKSTRAND - DOYLEY - PUDIL

MURRAY - THORNE - MCGUGAN - ANYA

DEENEY - FORESTIERI
