Taarbs Steals The Show

ADEL Taarabt put his former club to the sword with fine first half free-kick bolstering QPR's survival hopes.

The former Spurs playmaker was a key performer throughout as Rangers put a dent in their opponents' Champions League ambitions.

As ever with QPR there was more than a hint of self-inflicted punishment with Taarabt himself dismissed for a second bookable offence.

The officiating team seemed to signal it was for kicking the ball away, despite referee Mark Clattenberg nearly failing to issue the second caution.

Nevertheless Wigan Athletic's defeat at Fulham combined with Bolton Wanderers behind held at home by Swansea City saw the Premier League table make more comfortable viewing this evening.
