Starting his career in his native Hungary with MTK Hungaria FC, he impressed under the watchful eye of Jose Mourinho, and the former Chelsea boss brought Akos to Porto for a fee around Ł400k. After an extensive spell on the sidelines at Porto, Akos was loaned out to Superliga side Academia.

Whilst playing in Porto`s 'B` Team, Akos was snapped up by Plymouth Argyle on loan, after impressing then manager Bobby Williamson in a behind closed doors friendly against local rivals Torquay United.

After much cajoling Paul Stapelton bit the bullet and forked out around Ł225k to sign the Magyar. After impressing in numerous performances for the Greens, most notably hitting a scorcher from distance in a evening kick off at Loftus Road, his reputation grew.

Buzsaky refused to sign a new deal with Argyle instead opting to join Rangers, initially on loan before making his deal permanent in January 2008 for a deal believed to be around Ł500k. The midfielder coined the Magical Magyar, scored 10 goals in his first season in 27 appearances.

From then on Ákos' journey with QPR was a roller-coaster. At times plagued by injury and inconsistency, at others displaying all the hallmarks of genius albeit rather inconsistenly.

'The White Pele' picked up the Kiyan Prince Goal of the Season for an audacious chip at home to Blackpool, while injury continued to blight his every turn.

His well-documented spat with Jim Magilton lead to the manager getting the chop as Buzsáky fell out of favour at Loftus Road - boss Neil Warnock used him sparingly as Rangers saw themselves over the line to promotion, while Mark Hughes somewhat rejuvenated the Hungarian to see him score twice in 15 appearances.

Buzsáky turned down a one year extension to his contract and departed Loftus Road in July 2012.
