The Colombian winger Angelo Balanta is a product of the R`s youth system and is living testament of the good work that his occurring in the Rangers youth ranks.

Angelo made his Rangers debut in a 2-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace, and a sensational first start against Watford also earnt him a place on the bench against F.A Cup holders Chelsea.

Balanta also scored his first goal for Rangers drifting in from the left flank to slot home from close range against Sheffield United. He went on to make eight further appearances in the 2007/08 season.

Under Iain Dowie and Jim Magilton the young forward seemed to be growing in confidence, with a successful loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers helping the Chairboys to promotion from League Two.

After Neil Warnock took the helm at Loftus Road, Balanta's opportunities were limited, and he went out on loan to MK Dons, before a serious injury cut-short his time at the stadium:MK.

He rejoined MK Dons in 2012 before embarking on a second loan spell of the 2012-13 campaign with playoff hopefuls Yeovil Town.
