Keiron Dyer joined QPR on a free transfer following West Ham United's relegation from the Premier League.
He made an appearance lasting eight minutes in the season's opener against Bolton Wanderers before being sidelined for the first half of the campaign.
Mark Hughes ommitted him from his 25-man squad in January 2012 as he missed the entire campaign through injury. Suprising therefore that he was offered and took a one-year extension.
He featured more at the start of the campaign but injuries continued to hamper the former England man. He did score an FA Cup goal - a last gasp leveller against West Bromwich Albion, before being released before the replay.
