Under 18s - Barnet 1-4 QPR

Queens Park Rangers youngsters march on in the Youth Alliance South East Conference with a crushing win over Barnet.

Rangers moved up to second in the division after this commanding display against the rock-bottom Bees, who have only claimed one point from their opening five games.

Schoolboy Raheem Sterling who scored from the bench against Brentford last week was tugged down in the area giving skipper Max Ehmer the chance to score with a twice-taken penalty.

Sterling was heavily involved in the fixture and nearly had his own goal when a cross-come-shot came back off the post shortly before the break.

Not long into the second period and the R's had doubled their advantage and it was more excellent interplay from the QPR youth that doubled the lead.

Andrew Perring's cross was knocked down by the busy Ehmer, and Irish youth international Frankie Sutherland tapped home from close range.

More excellent interplay made it three when Javonne Molloy, Tony Sanderson and Jordan Walker combined for the impressive Sterling to treble the R's tally.

Barnet pulled a goal back, before the R's notched their fourth with Raheem Sterling picking up his brace.

Rangers moved up to second in the table with this thumping victory, two points off leaders Colchester United with a game in hand.
