Reserves - QPR 3-5 Crystal Palace

Alessandro Pellicori strikes twice as QPR reserves lose to Crystal Palace in a friendly fixture.

The game was designed to give game time to some of the R`s fringe players and overall served its purpose despite the result.

Fitz Hall completed over an hour as boss Keith Ryan bemoaned the omission of linesman for the Eagles` final three goals.

Rangers fielded a strong eleven with Nik-Lee Bulmer behind a familiar first team back four of Peter Ramage, Fitz Hall, Damion Stewart and Gary Borrowdale.

Hogan Ephraim and Matteo Alberti featured as did Patrick Agyemang and Alessandro Pellicori. It was the Italian who hit a brace for Rangers to continue his good goalscoring form in the second string.

Rangers` third came courtesy of substitute Sam Bewick, who replaced full back Borrowdale with 15 minutes remaining.

Reserves boss Keith Ryan was pleased with the exercise despite the result. Speaking to QPR.co.uk he said: 'It was a very useful exercise for us.

'The scoreline wasn't important. Obviously you want to win every match but, with no recognised linesmen, it did make things difficult.

'The defence were operating a well-organised, high backline and at least three of Palace's goals would never normally have stood.

'But the game provided a number of First Team players the opportunity to get vital match minutes under their belts.'

QPR: Nik-Lee Bulmer, Peter Ramage (Danny Bailey 65), Fitz Hall (Ed Harris 65), Damion Stewart (Michael Harriman 65), Gary Borrowdale (Sam Bewick 75), Hogan Ephraim (Antonio German 75), Max Ehmer, Matteo Alberti, Josh Parker, Patrick Agyemang, Alessandro Pellicori.
