Reserves - Gillingham 0-2 QPR

Queens Park Rangers reserves coasted to victory against an experienced Gillingham side at the Priestfield Stadium.

After a largely uneventful first period midfielder Danny Davenport struck for the visitors beyond former QPR stopper Simon Royce and from here on in the R's dominated proceedings.

Josh Parker and Romone Rose combined with the foot of the post denying the latter, but the pair weren't to be denied as moments later they combined once more.

This time Royce's kick fell kindly for Rose who in turn squared for Parker - this time the forward made no mistake rounding the forlorn 'keeper for the second.

Rangers fielded two trialists - Moritz Volz and former Barnsley man Jordan Hibbert in the convincing win that was a useful run out for several youngsters and fringe players.

The R's now move up to second in the Tote Sport Combination League - one point off League leaders Crystal Palace.

QPR: Shane McWeeney, Moritz Volz, Aaron Waters, Joe Oastler (Max Ehmer 83), Luke Olley, Lee Brown, Matteo Alberti (Sam Bewick 75), Danny Davenport (Jordon Hibbert 63), Romone Rose, Josh Parker, Angelo Balanta.
